Arthritis Panel (Mini)

About Test:

The arthritis panel is a group of 7 tests that are performed in case of a diagnosis of arthritis. The test helps to detect the specific type of arthritis the patient is suffering from.

CBC:
The Complete Blood Count helps measure the levels of various blood cells, such as Red Blood Cells, differential and partial White Blood Cells, and Platelets. It is commonly performed as part of regular health checkups.

ESR: 
The Erythrocyte sedimentation rate helps to see how fast Red Blood Cells in unclotted blood settle down in a tall tube. During inflammation, red blood cells clump close together and settle faster, resulting in high ESR. Results of this test need additional testing to make conclusive diagnoses.

Sr. Uric Acid: 
This test is used to detect blood uric acid levels. Uric acid is obtained from foods such as red meat, and removed from the body through urine. Higher levels are seen in cases of gout. 

RA test: 
This blood test helps to detect rheumatoid arthritis. By detecting rheumatoid factor (RF), which reacts with Immunoglobulin (IgG) the test helps specifically pinpoint this disease. A positive test indicates higher levels of RF in the blood

CRP:
This blood test measures C-Reactive Protein levels. C-Reactive protein is a protein made by the liver and released during inflammation. It is useful to detect arthritis as higher CRP indicates higher inflammation within the body.

ANA (if): 
This blood test helps detect presence of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) that attack components of cells and lead to inflammation. Positive test indicates presence of these antibodies. The test helps to evaluate for autoimmune disorders like Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis.

Urine Routine:
This test helps to detect the presence of Red Blood Cells, White Blood cells and proteins in the urine. These may be present in higher quantities in patients having arthritis.
