Dr. Phadke's Path Lab was started by Dr. A. M. Phadke at "Udyam", Shivaji Park. He started off with Andrology and later on with Biochemistry services. He has innumerable publications in national international journals on infertility. He also authored books on infertility, the last one being 'A Clinical Atlas of Sperm Morphology'.

Dr. Avinash A. Phadke and Dr. (Mrs) Vandana A. Phadke joined and helped the laboratory achieve greater heights. They started with Haematology. Clinical Pathology, Histopathology and Immunology services.

In the year 2000, Nicholas Piramal entered into a joint venture with Dr. Phadke´s Path Lab, with Mr. Ajay Piramal as Chairperson, Dr. Avinash A. Phadke as a Managing Director and Dr. (Mrs) Vandana A. Phadke as an Executive Medical Director.

Phadke Labs was amongst the first few in India to get the prestigious NABL accreditation.The first satellite lab to come into existence in a long chain of laboratories of Wellspring-Dr. Avinash Phadke´s Path Labs was the lab at Mahim in the year 2001.

The labs were rechristened & the name was changed From Wellspring-Dr.Avinash Phadke´s Labs to Piramal Diagnostics-Dr.Avinash Phadke´s Labs.

Dr. Avinash Phadke was bestowed with "Professional of the Year" award by the Maharashtra Times 

Dr.Avinash Phadke was awarded the "Distinguished Doctor" Award By the Mumbai Branch of The Indian Medical Association (I.M.A).

The laboratory was selected as one of the best quality labs in the country and became part of an elite group of seven laboratories with the highest quality in India in May 2009 by Express Healthcare.

Formerly known as "Piramal Diagnostics - Dr. Avinash Phadke" was merged to form a new entity called "SRL Diagnostics - Dr. Avinash Phadke" laboratories. Dr. Avinash Phadke takes over as President of SRL diagnostics which is South East Asia´s largest diagnostic chain.

Dr. Avinash Phadke was selected as one of the top three pathologists in Mumbai by a poll conducted by India Today in March. He was also awarded the "Professional Achievement Award" by Quality Council of India(QCI). QCI is an autonomous body formed by the Govt. of India.

In addition to serving as the President of Agilus Diagnostics, Dr Avinash Phadke also serves as the Director of the India Venture Healthcare Fund headed by Mr. A.K.Purwar. He holds the post of Honorary Secretary at Prince Aly Khan Hospital . He also serves as an advisor to the prestigious Aga Khan Foundation & was the President of the Executive Committee for the same. 

Dr. Avinash Phadke assumes the role of Mentor of Clinical Pathology and Immunology at Agilus Diagnostics. Agilus Dr.Phadke Labs introduces new allergy parameters and advanced luekemia tests. 

Phadke Labs expands its presence in Northern and Central Mumbai. Crosses 50+ centres mark in the city. 

Centralised our lab operations into a new state of the art facility at Mahim, Mumbai. This helps us streamline our operations, reduce errors and give reports much faster to patients and doctors alike. Becomes one of the first 5 private labs in the country to deploy the MALDI-TOF technology.
